Miss Serious

This is how she looked at me all day!  So funny, especially because I have been taking her pictures since she was a newborn and I refer to her as the "Happiest Baby on the Block."  She is getting old and wise...at 6 months :). 

But I did catch a smile or two...
And here is one to prove that yes, Mom, you are in the family!

Girls, Girls, Girls...

This was the outfit she got to pick for the last pictures of the day---Mom was a little disappointed that she chose all black, but I have to say--I think she was on to something--she looks great!
I can't remember what I said here, but whatever it was, it must have been good!  Nothing better than a belly laugh.  
This picture is priceless to me--I love that look!  Her bright blue eyes--it just makes me smile.

Urban Session

Tonight I had an "urban session" in Downtown Kirkwood!  What a great spot for pictures--my new favorite place.  We found so many cool alleys, doorways, dumpsters and brick walls!  Do they not look like models for Gap Kids!?  Sweet, sweet sisters that I love very much.

Look at this face...I can not even tell you how proud I am of her.  Her name is Marik.  She is 10 years old.  She is the daughter of one of my best friends in the world.  She had Leukemia.  She was really sick.  She had a heart transplant 16 months ago.  She is brave.  She is beautiful.  She has taught me so much.  It is with such honor and pleasure that I am able to photograph her smile, her eyes, her heart.  I love you, Marik.

The 3rd Child...

Here are a few from today's session.  His mom hired me because she has no pictures of "H"--her 3rd child.  Well, I think we solved that problem!  Enjoy your sneak peak!!  More to come soon.  

New addition

A few minutes after meeting me, this little guy (14 months) walked right up to me and gave me a hug--so sweet!  I had fun chasing him in his front yard until I started singing the ABC's--that got his attention so I was able to get some pictures.  

His little world has recently been turned upside down.  See below.

Never have I wanted to trade hair more with a 2 year old--until now.  Check out theses curls.  Looking at this sweet little face--would you ever think he would have thrown mulch at my camera :) --I thought it was kind of funny.  He was clearly done with me taking his picture.  I can take a hint...

OH BOY!

Two of my very dear friends had their 3rd child and 1st BOY!  So of course, as soon as they got home from the hospital, I was at their door with camera in hand.  4 days old today.  He is so handsome and such a great addition to a wonderful family.  I love you all very much.  Congrats.

Baby makes 3.

Last time I took their pictures it was just 2.  What a wonderful addition this little one is!

She is almost ONE!  Look at that gummy grin and those 2 fronth teeth.  What a smile!
