Happy Labor Day!

Hope everyone is having a happy and safe Labor Day Weekend!  I got to visit baby "E" today--she is already 3 months old.  Here is her newborn picture...

And here she is today!  Already so big!  She has beautiful blue eyes and fluffy strawberry blond hair.  

You are the best photographer ever!

When I was leaving last night's session--the three year old told me I was the best photographer ever!  That was the best compliment I have ever gotten! :)  

Her older sister was secretly a professional model, I am sure.  She knew all these poses and gave me lots of ideas of where to take her picture!  I think she's got it...
At the end of the session their Mom let them pick one outfit--whatever they wanted.  I love that he picked his Nike soccer outfit and chose to sit on his John Deere Tractor!  I love it!  So much fun--thank you!

I am grateful...

Every day I am grateful that I am able to do what I am so passionate about.  I love my job.  I love children.  I love how magical pictures can be and I love seeing the joy it can bring to people.  This is my second summer photographing this family and I hope for many more summers!  Mom, despite what you may think--they were perfect!  I even have a surprise Christmas card picture for you :)!  

End of summer

Hard to believe summer is almost over--or is already over, depending how you look at it.  Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Boy + 9 years old = trouble ...and I have 2!  He could not have been any cuter in his hat and Gap t-shirt!  I was watching him the entire time with one eye closed as he did stunts and everything else boys do at 9 years old.  Oh. am I in for it!
I forgot how much teenage girls love their bedrooms!  I know I did!  
This was one of the last shots of the day--she begged me to get a picture taken with her dog--she loves her dog.  I think this is such a sweet picture!

6 months

I had a wonderful morning with "A" today!  She is another one of my "Babies First Year" babies.  Mom was popping out behind the bed playing peek-a-boo in this one--she loved it.

I love the proud look on her face in this one--you can tell she thinks she is so cool standing up on her own...
I am always jealous of baby and mom pictures--guess who is never in any pictures in my house...I love these intimate moments.

I love my job

This is one of my favorite things about my "job"--(I still have a hard time thinking of this as work)...but I love doing the Babies First Year pictures! I feel so incredibly honored to be the lucky one that gets to photograph these babies and get to know the moms!  Below is "T" as a newborn...

Hands full

I was in this exact situation 2 years ago--a newborn baby and a 2 year old...for those of you who have been there, you understand.  Luckily, the kids could not have been any better!

It has been a busy weekend and I am very grateful for that :).

3 months

Today she is 6 months old!  LOOK AT HER!  She smiled the ENTIRE session.  "M" is another one I get to photograph every 3 months--LUCKY ME.  :)  She will probably have her hair in braids by 9 months.  Can't wait!

Zippity-do-da

And today at 3 months!  look at those rolls!!! so great.
He loves his mama!  He was full of smiles doing his zippity-do-da dance with his mom.  It is always amazing to see how much change there is from newborn to 3 months!  I am very lucky to see this little guy every 3 months to document his first year of life!  

I love my clients

Honestly, I have the best clients in the world.  This family is also a repeat customer.  I love seeing the kids again--it is so great when they remember me AND remember how much fun we had taking pictures!

Our Cape Cod Vacation

I'm back...but not for long

A friend of mine was vacationing in Cape Cod the same time I was there--so I got to take pictures for her family!  Too bad the beach was sooo windy that day.  Besides taking their pictures, we had a great day playing and wondering around Hyannisport!  I am currently digging through the 500+ pictures I took---thanks to digital cameras :( I will post some of my favorites soon!  I am traveling again to the Lake this weekend--I will be back and ready to work next week!  Thanks for stopping by!
