Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  Wishing everyone a healthy, happy, prosperous 2009!  Here are a few from yesterday--my little friend is already 18 months--such a big girl.  We had a great time exploring the rocks and leaves outside--on a rare, warm day in December.  

Aunt Heidi

I kind of feel like Aunt Heidi, the aunt that lives out of town and only gets to see her niece every few months..."Q" is one of the babies I  have photographed every 3 months since birth.  It is so fun to see how much they have grown and develop!  I also become quite fond of the parents too :).  Here is a few from her 9 month session...ENJOY!

Here is a sneak peak for Mom and Dad!  We had so much fun yesterday and "E" could not have been in a better mood!  I am sure Santa had lots to do with that!  Enjoy these--more to come soon!!  

giving IS awesome...announcement!

I want to begin by thanking everyone that nominated someone for my Giving is Awesome holiday giveaway!  I, along with more than 500 other photographers world-wide, asked for nominations of families that deserve a little holiday cheer.  The response was overwhelming and this was extremely difficult to chose just one family.  My team of judges and I  chose a very deserving family and I hope to share their inspirational story and photos with you all soon.  I will let you know, that this family had multiple nominations--and none of the nominating families knew of the others.  The chosen family will receive $1,000 worth of photography and prints, along with $250 of prints for each of the nominating families.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart and happy holidays to all!!  Heidi

I am so excited to announce a very special project I am working on with over 396 photographers world-wide! 

You know someone. You know someone who's experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can't afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family's spirit, love, and beauty.

You know someone. I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography -- $1,000 worth, to be exact. This will include an archival CD with all the edited pictures from their session AND a $250 print credit.  You have the power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a $250 print credit. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be?

The rules:

* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

Merry, Merry Christmas!

It is official...I am on vacation!  After a crazy-busy holiday season, I am almost finished ordering, packaging, and shipping all of your orders.   I will be on vacation from Dec. 15th-Jan. 3rd.  I do have a few make up sessions during this time, so don't worry, I will still be there!  I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support of my little business!  

Downtown Kirkwood

After two cancelled sessions due to snow--we finally got this one in today--before the ice storm hits!  We walked all over downtown Kirkwood and got some great shots!  These pictures are very special because today is their Mom's birthday--HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!  

The Jewel Box

To escape the freezing weather this weekend, we headed down to the Jewel Box in Forest Park (along with every other photographer in the St. Louis area).  Beautiful pointsettas if you can find a corner.

Back to work!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is this couples 3rd Anniversary!  In honor of that--I had to post this picture!  What a great picture to remember the day!  Congrats guys!  Once again...it was fun.

Great start to my week!

I had a wonderful morning with these 2 today!  This little girl is 8 weeks old!  She smiled every time I made my funny noise  (sometimes it works--sometimes not so much)  Glad it worked today!  

Check him out in his little jacket!  We talked trucks and cars and trains...and all the things that Santa will be bringing him this year.  How handsome is he??

You know it will be a good session when...

they eat, burp, and poop right before I get there!  And that is exactly what this guy did--nice work little man!  enjoy mom :)

My little friend

Meet my little friend.  I have taken her picture every 3 months since she was born.   She gets cuter every time I see her, if that is even possible...today we celebrated her being 9 months old!

Our little secret

Let's just say, it is our little secret--how we go 2 toddlers and a dog to sit together!  It was effortless...really!

Troopers!

You would never know it was FREEZING cold yesterday looking at these pictures--these two were total troopers!  A special thanks to Dad and Uncle Matt for leaving a big pile of leaves for us!  Actually, thanks to Mom for making them leave the big pile of leaves for us :)

Remember...I am a Mom too!

I thought this title was important and a good way to remind people that I am also a mother...so when you are running a little late because of traffic--I understand.  When your child pees in the garage...I understand.  When you just want them to behave and smile pretty for the camera-just once!...I understand.  When your friend brings you a bottle of wine because of how stressful it can be to get 4 kids ready for their pictures...I understand.  And will you look at how cute these pictures turned out!!!  We did it.
